Gardeners Line Up For SoilSoupSunnybrook Farms Can't Keep It On ShelvesCHESTER TOWNSHIP, Ohio -- A big bucket of dark brown goo has gardeners going ga ga, according to NewsChannel5's Susan Davies. She reported that gardeners line up each Saturday morning to get a gallon of SoilSoup. "They start coming in at 9:01 a.m. and bring their gallons to get filled," said Susan Bercheck of Sunnybrook Farms, in Chester Township. A gallon will set you back $5 if you bring your own jug, and then just dilute it with water and it's feeding time. "It's incredible, easy to use, liquid compost tea," Berchek said. "It goes on so fast and works miracles." Davies said that the soup is actually alive with millions of microbes. It's like a meal of vital nutrients for your soil and plants. It also reduces disease like black spot on roses. "Our roses are looking fantastic and it's been a bad spring," Berchek said. "It makes a big difference." Berchek bought a home unit for her own garden and runs it nonstop. She said just a meal or two makes all the difference. The SoilSoup is even good on lawns, too. Davies said Sunnybrook Farms can't make the soil soup fast enough and plans to buy a unit six times as big next spring. She said until then, you better get to Sunnybrook Farms early.
